I Want Your Thoughts! What you say and feel matters and I am able to bring your beliefs to the table. I pride myself in being able to see multiple sides to each issue and am open to having the conversation.
Social Media has been an outlet for a lot of Jersey Village citizens to voice their concerns on the relevant issues. I make it a practice to review the different comments and reflect on them. I would bring the concerns presented to the table and share with my fellow council members what feedback the citizens are sharing.
Access to your elected officials is crucial to successful government. I would be available to openly discuss issues with my fellow citizens after work and on the weekends to ensure your comfort in where I stand on any of the issues Jersey Village is confronting.
Political disagreement is on high alert right now and I take a lot of pride in knowing where I stand, but what I haven't lost sight of, is every voice has a right to be heard. I learned while studying Political Science at Sam Houston State University that there are three sides to every issue. Your side, my side, and somewhere in the middle. I strive to find that middle ground with anything I do. I believe in comprises that benefit the majority. I'm not afraid to take on an issue that others may feel is risky, but I promise you, my due diligence and thoughtful reflections will be given before any decision or opinion is presented.
To me, the most important part of being a public official is the public concept. Being available, open and willing to interact with the public. A vote for me ensures that the "public" will have a voice at the table.
